Who We Are

Portland State University Human Resource Management Association (HRMA) is a student-led organization affiliated with the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Our goal as a chapter is to get students excited about the field of HR and help create connections with community professionals, learning experiences, and resources to help facilitate the transition from HR student to HR practitioner.

What's Happening

Past Events

PSU's HRMA traveled to Chicago, IL for the annual SHRM conference, where they connected with the founder of PSU's HRMA Alan Cabelly, and were recognized for the Outstanding Chapter Award for the first time, as well as the Superior Merit Award for the 35th year in a row. Members had the opportunity to network with other HR Professionals and students, as well as build their career skills through hundreds of available sessions. Looking forward to SHRM '25 in San Diego!
